It was an event-packed weekend in Melbourne. Gadde did this behind the back of former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Gadde in 2021 was appointed an adviser to the Department of Homeland Security’s misinformation and disinformation taskforce.

Sam Bankman-Fried proceeded with a New York Times speaking event. He claimed that FTX US was solvent and that customers would be able to withdraw their money soon. He received a standing ovation from the event audience.
